Sometimes it's hard to love your family
Especially when they pull the kind of shit my mom's been pulling. I mean, I can understand her getting stressed out and freaking out. Hell, everyone does that once in awhile. But COME ON!!! Often times when I make a statement pertaining to my future my mother will let out a derogatory or at the least discouraging comment or bark of laughter. I found out after a huge argument with her that she does it to get revenge for any hurt I've caused her. Now correct me if I'm wrong but aren't parents supposed to support their children and not seek petty revenge like a spoiled child?! To be fair, she didn't exactly have model parents growing up. But she doesn't realize how much she's hurting me and how much this revenge shit screwed me up to the point I am now. I never had a great deal of self-confidence growing up and she never gave me the support I needed. I know she doesn't realize she's really hurting me, in truth she's acting just like her mother. *sighs* I hope one day she'll realize this and get her shit together, but until then, I'll just hang around and try and keep her attention away from my sisters until I move out.
